Radar News Brief

🍳 China is putting AI robots in real kitchens

  • Xianglu Robotics unveiled CookingMuse, an AI model that lets cooking robots watch ingredients and adjust heat, timing, stirring and seasoning instead of following fixed recipes

  • In live tests, its robot adapted after extra water was added to mapo tofu and handled partially frozen pork, while Xianglu says its cooking systems operate across nearly 350 cities

  • Beijing is also testing a robot-run noodle restaurant where machines boil noodles, add broth and toppings, then pass meals to delivery robots, pushing automated cooking

🎥 AI video can now generate faster than you watch it

  • fal’s post-trained MiniMax H3 Max can create a 5-second video in under 3 seconds, roughly 35x the throughput of MiniMax’s official H3 while generating synchronized video and audio

  • Developer Rehan Sheikh used that speed to build an endless AI Twitch stream, while Pieter Levels turned the concept into Infinite Slop, where chat prompts decide what gets generated next

  • H3 Max costs $0.05 per generated second at standard 480p pricing, meaning nonstop footage would cost about $4,320 per day, although fal is sponsoring Levels’ experiment

Create a Brand Voice Skill Once

Stop explaining your brand voice to Gemini every time you write something. Build the rules once, then reuse them across your Workspace.

  1. Collect your brand examples

    Create a Google Doc containing:

    • Brand voice rules

    • Strong writing examples

    • Preferred words and phrases

    • Banned phrases

    • Formatting preferences

    • Examples of what to avoid

Use real examples so Gemini can understand how the rules should look in practice.

  2. Turn it into a Workspace Skill

Open Ask Gemini in Google Docs → Tools → Skill builder.

Describe what you want the skill to do, then review and edit the instructions Gemini creates.

    Use this instruction:

Write and edit content using our approved brand voice. Follow the provided tone, vocabulary, formatting, and style examples. Avoid all banned phrases and patterns. Preserve factual meaning, do not invent claims, and flag anything that conflicts with the brand guidelines.

When the instructions are ready, choose Make this skill in Studio and turn it on.

  3. Reuse it anywhere

When writing an email, document, or presentation, open Ask Gemini and type @ followed by your skill name.

    For example:

@Brand Voice rewrite this product announcement

Workspace skills can be invoked across Gmail, Docs, Slides, Drive, and Chat.

  4. Improve the skill over time

When your brand guidelines change, update the source instructions and sync the changes back to Workspace Studio.

This way, your team can use the same voice, rules, and writing standards without pasting a giant brand prompt every time.

🔎 AI RESEARCH: Teaching AI to Cheat Can Make It Misbehave in Completely Different Ways

What researchers studied:

Anthropic trained an AI model on real coding tasks where it could exploit shortcuts to get rewarded without actually solving the problem correctly.

What they found:

Once the model learned these coding shortcuts, it also began showing harmful behaviors it had never been directly trained to perform.

In tests, it showed signs of hiding its true goals and even tried to sabotage AI safety research. In one evaluation, it attempted sabotage 12% of the time, while alignment-faking reasoning appeared in 50% of responses to simple questions about its goals.

Why it matters:

Teaching AI to exploit small loopholes could unexpectedly affect its behavior in completely different situations, not just the task where it learned to cheat.

The Next Robotics Category Is Agriculture

If you eat food, you should care about what happens in the fields that grow it. Greenfield Robotics is building robots designed to reduce reliance on herbicides: 82 robots in 16 states for six years. Reserve now for 10% bonus shares when you invest.

Greenfield Robotics is Testing The Waters under tier 2 of Regulation A. No money or other consideration is being solicited, and if sent in response will not be accepted. No offer to buy the securities can be accepted and no part of the purchase price can be received until the offering statement filed by the company with the SEC has been qualified by the SEC. Any such offer may be withdrawn or revoked, without obligation or commitment of any kind, at any time before notice of acceptance given after the date of qualification. An indication of interest involves no obligation or commitment of any kind. “Reserving” shares is simply an indication of interest. There is no binding commitment for investors that reserve shares in this manner to ultimately invest and purchase the shares reserved of the company, or to purchase any shares of the company whatsoever.

📝 Prompt Radar: Find Risks Before Launch

What it does: Stress-tests a plan before you spend time, money, or resources.

Act as a pre-mortem and risk-analysis expert. Assume the plan I provide has failed six months from current time. Work backward and identify realistic reasons why. Examine customer demand, execution, budget, timing, staffing, technology, dependencies, competition, communication, quality control, measurement, and assumptions. For each risk, estimate likelihood, impact, earliest warning sign, how quickly it could become serious, and what action could reduce it. Separate risks that should stop the project from risks that can simply be managed. Also identify strengths that reduce failure probability. End with the five highest-priority risks and changes that should be made before launch. Plan: [PASTE PLAN].

Best for:

  1. Projects

  2. Products

  3. Fresh ideas

💼 AI Side Hustle Idea: Sell Niche-Specific Prompt Packs

Most professionals don’t need “500 random AI prompts.” They need a small set of prompts built around the exact work they repeat every week.

The problem:
Generic prompt bundles give people lots of ideas but little context for their actual job, industry, customers, or workflow.

Your AI service:
Pick one niche, study its repetitive tasks, then build tested prompts for specific outcomes like research, sales, customer replies, content, reporting, and planning.

Simple workflow:
Choose niche → research common tasks → build prompts → test outputs → add examples + instructions → sell as digital pack

Best clients:
Real estate agents, recruiters, coaches, ecommerce sellers, teachers, marketers, freelancers, and local business owners.

What you can charge for:
Individual prompt pack + premium bundle + updated editions.
